The location was good, and although I wondered whether the building's former use as a shop might mean noise from outside, it was actually quiet. Breakfast was the letdown: it was included, but very basic, with butter and jam and no toaster. I expected a better choice.

The DIY breakfast was just tea, coffee and single-serve cereal boxes, though being between a popular chippie and Artizan, where you can get hot drinks, snacks and alcohol into the evening, was a handy bonus. The place is very compact, and may work better for one person than a couple. We lived out of our suitcases and took turns moving around, but we were out each day, so it was manageable. The price felt about right. I stayed in Oct 2021, and the town-centre spot was ideal for shops and pubs.

The room was small, but worked perfectly well for our stay. We had a good breakfast hamper, a comfortable bed and a good shower. Right in the middle of town, too. We'd stay again and recommend it to couples.

There was plenty supplied for breakfast, even if the choice in the room was limited. The room was nice, the price reasonable, and the location was great.
