The hotel is a very short walk from town, the theatre and the waterfront, and we had a seamless stay even with several large events happening that evening. Our room was big and spacious, and the bed was heavenly. There was plenty of seating in the bar and lounge, and the bar kept running smoothly even when busy. Astyn checked us in and was exceptionally helpful and engaging, with real warmth and professionalism. The GM has clearly built a well organised, efficient team with a lot of heart.

We've been members for approximately 15 years, and as a family we just want to keep coming back. This time I stayed three nights for my 61st birthday, paid for by my 82 year old mother. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Ella at the front Desk was thoughtful, kind and professional, and even gave us three nights of free parking, which was so kind since we're both disabled. The self service breakfast had fresh produce and was outstanding, including the service. Well run hotel. Well done, ELLA, you deserve a pay rise or promotion. You're a true professional. We loved the stay so much that I've already booked another visit, this time for longer. My partner had surprised me with a stay for our 3 year anniversary, and we'd never been here before. We were amazed by the hotel. As we walked in, my partner said it felt like walking into a hotel in a foreign country. The receptionist was friendly and informative, and told us about the many events on that evening. None of them got in the way of our evening. We had drinks in the lovely bar, where the staff were kind, and could see the outdoor fire pit, which looked lovely. We also had access to the lounge. Our room was spacious and clean, with an amazing, comfortable bed. Sadly, we didn't have time to try all the facilities. Thank you to the whole team. We can't wait to return.

Our first stay here was for our honeymoon 24 years ago. We couldn't travel far or for long then, with four small children and limited childcare, and we've returned many times since. The location is perfect and on site parking is a handy extra, though it is charged. This visit we had an upgrade to a king room overlooking the theatre. It was spacious, with a comfy bed, seating area, tea, coffee, biscuits, fridge and complimentary water. There was also a large flat screen TV, lots of sockets with USB ports, a hairdryer and ironing board and iron. Breakfast had plenty of choice, though options were a bit limited for us as vegans. We didn't go hungry, and everything was clean and piping hot with lots of staff around to help. The takeaway coffee cups were handy for the journey home. The bar and outside area are both nice, with plenty of comfy seating. We skipped the pool this time, but have used it before. It's small but well maintained. I'm sure we'll be back.
