What stood out was how connected the place feels to the working organic farm around it. We ate two dinners there, and the food was simple, unfussy, and well cooked. The ingredients tasted fresh, with most coming straight from the farm. Breakfast was busy, clearly for good reason, and satisfying, with plenty of things made on the farm. We spent a weekend with friends and had two superior rooms. They were beautifully finished, with comfortable beds and thoughtful details, and each was named after a field on the farm. The Wallow, a shared guest lounge with an honesty bar and record player, was a nice spot for evening drinks without going down to the pub. The pub itself was cosy, welcoming, and full of character. It's a warm, genuinely rural-feeling place for a countryside break.

We only had to travel an hour to reach The Royal Oak, but it felt like a real break from our busy lives. The weekend left us feeling restored, and the nearby walking was a bonus. Everyone on staff was so friendly, and the relaxed, easygoing atmosphere made us feel at home. Our room was cosy and warm when we arrived, with lovely details like organic teas and toiletries. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, especially the quality and simplicity of the menu. Breakfast was a real highlight. The place has high standards and clear values without feeling pretentious. We can't wait to return.

Dinner and breakfast were both superb, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. We had a lovely night here. The room was quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. We'll definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

After a lovely walk around this picturesque village, The Royal Oak was a great place to relax over a meal. The pub has a lovely ambience, and the food was fresh, delicious, full of flavour, and well prepared. The staff were warm and welcoming and gave excellent service throughout our visit. Definitely worth a visit. I'll be back. Well done to all the staff, 10/10. Best wishes, Dave

We stayed for two nights. The room was small but perfect, with a great en suite. Having a shared common room for our group to meet in was a nice touch. The food was fabulous, and Tim was the perfect host. We'll be back!
