The only thing I’d change is a personal preference: I’d like the downstairs decor to be a bit brighter. Otherwise, this was one of the best pub, hotel and B&B stays we’ve had. We were there during a guest chef’s stay, and the food was sublime. Everything was extremely clean, and the bed was among the most comfortable we’ve slept in while away. Our schnauzer was allowed to stay in the room while we had dinner, which we appreciated, as he’s house-trained. The team were so cheerful, attentive and thoughtful, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. I think one of them was the landlord, though I didn’t ask; he even went out of his way to make a cocktail. The locals were friendly too. A local gem to cherish. We rate our stay 99.99.5. Enjoy, everyone!

Clare and Tony and their lovely staff always give you a tremendous welcome, and the place has a lovely atmosphere. I’ve been going to the Hatch Inn for over a decade, and even though it’s my local, I still rate it among the top pubs in Somerset. The food is fabulous, from the evening menu and Sunday roast to pizza night, which is worth it just to see Tony in his outfit. There’s also the new daytime cafe.

The interior feels cosy and the place was very clean. Music played softly in the background without getting in the way of conversation. I want to send my honest thanks to yesterday’s team, 02.05.2026: Tom-headchef, Oscar-assistant chef, Becs,Josh and Jack from front of house. You were great with customers, good for a bit of banter, and ready to take on any job. Nothing seemed too much trouble. See you again soon.

Breakfast was simple and delicious, and the room was comfortable and very clean. Such a great place, with really welcoming, friendly staff. I’ll 100% be back.

The food was really lovely and very reasonably priced, with a good selection of drinks too. It’s a lovely pub with great aesthetics throughout and super friendly staff. I went with friends on a Friday evening. The Hatch Inn is tucked just off the main road in Hatch Beauchamp. I’ll definitely visit again.
