The room was large, comfortable, warm and quiet, and the food was fancy but tasty. Service was polite, and everything was excellent. It’s an upmarket place with prices to match, so you’ve been warned. There’s an accessible room on the ground floor, with a lift from the lower car park to the ground floor. Parking is free for guests, though a space isn’t guaranteed.

Lian looked after us at dinner and breakfast and was fantastic. The staff were attentive and professional while still being warm and kind, some of the best service I’ve ever had. We also got a visit from Polo, the neighbourhood cat. The rooms at the Bedford were cosy and welcoming, with everything we needed provided. We had an amazing stay and will be back :)

The roast of the day was fine, but nothing special, and the potatoes weren’t good. I expected more and won’t be coming back. The steak pie was £26, with another £3.50 for gravy, so £29 for a steak and ale pie is madness. It came out dry, too. Service was okay, though not what I’d expect at such a fancy hotel. Not worth the money.

The town is stunning and the location is great, with free parking. Staff were super friendly, the food was amazing and reasonably priced. To be honest, the place is a little dated, but it was very clean.

Prices were surprisingly reasonable. It’s a very posh hotel, but everyone gets a warm welcome, dogs included.
