Best Western New House Hotel

We spent one night here for our wedding anniversary and thought it was well worth the money. The views were superb, and every member of staff was excellent from check-in through to departure. Our ground-floor accessible room, number 13, was a good size, with a huge bed and a walk-in shower.

After staying in lots of hotels, it’s the small thoughtful touches that stand out. The staff here were lovely and really looked after us, especially our little one. They made him his own special omelette at breakfast and even remembered his name to say goodnight. It felt relaxing and had that mix of home comfort and luxury. I’d definitely recommend a stay.

This was my second visit, and I couldn’t fault the stay. I’d booked in person a month earlier and asked for a particular room as a birthday surprise for my husband, but there’d been a mix-up and we were given a much smaller room, though it was lovely. The front desk woman, whose name I didn’t catch, was amazing. She showed me several rooms so I could choose, and we were moved to what I believe was the bridal suite at no extra charge. We also got a later checkout. The location and amenities are wonderful, and everyone made our stay special. Thank you, we’ll definitely be back.

We’ll be back. The grounds are lovely and well kept, with beautiful views across Cardiff, and the enclosed heated tables outside were a fun place to enjoy tea or coffee. Breakfast was very good and had something for everyone. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was huge and I slept so well, and the bathroom looked like a showroom. I even asked the cleaning team for tips 😉. Staff were helpful, friendly, and fun 😊.
