The room was so quiet even though it looked out onto Tomintoul’s main street, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the hollandaise. The rooms were clean and comfortable too. We loved how welcome our dog was: there were food and water bowls, a towel and a jar of treats ready in the room, which made the trip easy and fun with him. The owners were warm and friendly, and took time to chat and share useful local advice about nearby trails, what was open in the off season, and what you could reach from town. We had a wonderful stay at Argyle Guest House and would happily return, with a dog or without.

We used Argyle as a base for visiting the Speyside distilleries, and the hosts really went out of their way to make our stay special. Our family of six was there just after Christmas, during a quiet spell, but Dianne and Steven gave us a full and warm welcome. The rooms felt very homely and breakfast was fantastic. We all loved it, and would recommend the place to any kind of traveller. Thanks so much.

Everything was only a short stroll away, though Storm Amy made it feel like a few gusts away! The room was very comfortable, with locally brewed whisky as a nice extra. Breakfast was spot on, both the egg royale and the traditionally made porridge. Dianne welcomed us warmly and knew the area really well. We stayed two nights and can't recommend this b&b highly enough. If I could, I'd give it a 10. I'd recommend Argyle Guest house.

The road noise was barely noticeable, and the village is small and picturesque, right in the heart of the Highlands. The rooms felt luxurious, and the owner was very polite and gave us lots of explanations. Breakfast was great, especially the homemade bread. You can even order what you want in advance. Thank you, Dianne!

The clean, spacious rooms had comfy beds, and the hosts were lovely. A tasty breakfast took an already good stay up a notch. I’d recommend staying here again.
