We stayed one night and would definitely visit again. The hotel and staff were lovely. There was an issue with the TV in our room, but they moved us straight away. Dinner was fresh and hot, a nice change at a hotel, and the continental-style fry-up at breakfast was blooming delicious. The staff went above and beyond, even learning my son's name and having a laugh with him. Those little things made the stay more enjoyable. We even had a short walk along the canal. Thank you fir grove

The wedding room worked well for a party of 75, with good buffet food, especially the lemon chicken and steak. The cheesecake was to die for, and there was an ideal space for the disco and dancing, nicely decorated. The bar in the room was handy too. Plenty of parking, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent, hot and freshly made. The bedrooms are a bit tired and dated, though clean and comfortable. The public areas are nice, but the restaurant menu is limited at present. The place has recently changed ownership. The new owner just needs to invest in the bedrooms and it would get 5 stars.

The staff made my stay special, especially Amy, the lovely blonde lady in Reception. When I asked for help with the shower not getting hot water, Amy came up with me and personally moved me to another room. I appreciated her going that extra step. The hotel itself is a small little gem on the outskirts of town. My room was nicely decorated and very clean, and the shower was new and clean. It wasn't luxurious, but it worked well. All in all, I'd recommend staying here.

The staff were all helpful and did what they could whenever we asked. Food and drink were pretty expensive, though. I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. I was a little disappointed there wasn't a bath, but the shower was decent, so I can't complain. The bed was comfy and the curtains did a very good job of keeping the light out. The room wasn't dirty, but it could have done with a dusting before guests checked in.

The room was lovely, and breakfast was okay. Best of all, the staff were genuine and friendly, and made our stay excellent. We can't wait to stay again next year! Booking.com overbooked the hotel, so we were moved to a sister hotel about a half hour's drive away. The hotel paid for taxis and didn't charge us for that night. They also added a few free drinks and breakfast to our stay because of the booking error. Staff handled the situation swiftly and professionally, and took care of us in every way.
