We keep choosing this Premier Inn for visits to London, for work and for leisure, and plan to carry on doing so. It’s close to lots of shops and other amenities, with great connections into central London, and there’s plenty of parking at a reasonable daily rate. The rooms are basic, as expected, but they’re always clean and tidy. Friendly staff, decent service, no frills. That’s exactly what we want.

We’ve stayed here four times and would come back. The staff are very helpful, and it’s an easy walk into the town centre. Parking is straightforward and costs £8. The rooms are spacious but have an older style, with no a/c and no plus rooms. Breakfast was acceptable, though not the best I’ve had at a Premier Inn. It didn’t seem very busy, so I suspect the food had been sitting out for quite a while.

The staff made this stay really special. The manager has put together a great team, and everyone was professional, warm, and keen to help. We arrived back at 3am to find a cleaner doing the lobby and wishing us a happy new year. Even though we came down for breakfast a bit late, the staff were accommodating. The light, healthy breakfast suited us perfectly, and we slept really well. We stayed on New Year’s Eve, when the price was much cheaper than elsewhere. Central Watford was a great location, with plenty of parking. Thanks to everyone, we’d definitely stay again.

Michael was the person who made this stay stand out. He seemed to be handling several jobs but still gave us the most helpful, friendly service I’ve experienced. He made my stepdaughter feel at ease with goody bags and extra brownies, and made sure my partner and I had everything we needed. I can’t thank him enough. The room was comfortable, clean, warm, quiet, and well insulated. The water was very hot, and there was complimentary tea and coffee, though something better than Nescafé Original would’ve been nice. We ate at the hotel all three nights for convenience. The first evening was mixed: my partner’s fish was burnt, my stepdaughter’s spaghetti had bland sauce and big chunks of vegetables that weren’t kid friendly, and my mixed grill was okay. They took the fish off the bill, and kids eat free. The food was great on the next two nights, reasonably priced, and the service was fantastic. We felt welcome from the start. The hotel was easy to find, reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the area felt safe. There’s a Tesco Extra nearby, and Watford junction is a five minute taxi ride away.

The atmosphere is usually quiet, which I like, and the staff have consistently been friendly and helpful on my many visits. Cleanliness can be hit or miss, though. A few times I’ve found rooms that looked dirty or worn, with damaged furniture.
