All the staff were welcoming and friendly, and went the extra mile with their service. The food was excellent, with a good selection for a small restaurant. The hotel was being renovated, though, so there was some noise and our room hadn’t been upgraded yet. I couldn’t give it five stars because of that, but the service more than made up for the minor inconvenience. We stayed two nights for the Harry Potter Studio Tour, which is about 10 minutes away. I’d highly recommend it as a base for the tour.

We’ve just got back from Watford north, and this was our third visit. We’re planning to come back every year because we always feel like family here. Simona-aaaa was so friendly and attentive, and took the time to talk with me and my family and make us feel welcome. My Jennifer is always amazing too. The atmosphere is wonderful, and we never want to leave. Every staff member was amazing, and I’m sorry if I’ve named only some of you. We can’t wait to see you all again. It’s the best hotel for Harry Potter, with a real community of fans. It’s the perfect place to stay.

We’ll book again next time we visit the studios. Yvonne was very helpful and friendly, got us checked in early, and seemed to be doing lots of different jobs. It’s a nine minute journey to Warner Brother Harry Potter Studio, and the hotel is right next to a Macdonalds. Parking is free, though they ask for a small donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital. The area is quiet, with plenty of restaurants nearby and major supermarkets five minutes away by car. Breakfast was nice, with a good selection of full English and continental options and lots of drinks. The free Wi-Fi was good too.

There was nobody at reception when I checked out, so I couldn’t report what I’d found. I later contacted guest reservations and was told there was “nothing they could do” because I hadn’t raised it sooner. I couldn’t see the mould until I moved the bed, and no staff member was there when I left. They exposed my child to what I consider dangerous mould, then took no responsibility after I reported it. If you care about your health or your family’s safety, don’t stay here. This place is a serious risk to public health and should be investigated. I’m horrified by what I discovered after one night. My two-year-old daughter had slept in a bed with thick black mould growing on the wall right behind it. The bed had been pushed against the wall, so it wasn’t visible at first. I only found it after noticing mould spores on the wall and moving the bed. What I saw made me sick. This is a serious public health risk, not just poor hygiene.
