Holiday Inn London - Watford Junction by IHG

Getting to London was easy from here, since the hotel is a short walk from Watford Junction. Despite being close to the station, the soundproofing was good enough for a proper rest. My room was clean, modern and comfortable, with a great bed and a shower that worked perfectly. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and efficient from arrival through checkout. They answered my questions clearly and politely. Breakfast had a decent selection and was well organised, and the common areas were tidy and pleasant to sit in. I had a smooth, comfortable stay at Holiday Inn Watford Junction and would happily return or recommend it as a reliable base.

It’s handy for getting to the airport or Warner bros harry potter, with direct buses from Watford junction station less than five minutes away. There’s a supermarket nearby too, as well as a nice coffee shop. The lobby is roomy and comfortable, with a wide choice of food and drinks. The hotel feels modern and lovely, and the staff were friendly. The rooms are good quality, with amenities like body lotion in the bathroom, and breakfast was a full offering. As a vegan, I found it useful that allergens were clearly marked. I’ve attached pictures of the menu.

The room was very cold on both nights. The window was open when we arrived, so at first we thought that was the reason, but the next night was just as bad and the kids were freezing. The fan was awful to listen to and didn’t heat the room at all. Room 101 really needs attention, and I wouldn’t stay here again. The dinner and breakfast staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice, though we chose not to have it on the second morning.

It’s about a three-minute walk to the train station, and the staff were great when we needed help. I asked whether they could arrange a birthday celebration for my father. Ms. Afsaneh and the kind man who let us into breakfast, whose name I sadly can’t remember, helped me sort it out right there.
