The location is convenient for local attractions and transport, and breakfast had a good range of tasty options. I had a truly enjoyable stay at Premier Inn West Bromwich. Staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful from arrival, making check-in easy and stress-free. My room was spotless, comfortable and had everything I needed, including a cosy bed and modern amenities. The facilities were well maintained too. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and I’ll definitely be back.

We stayed overnight on our way south. The rooms were clean and comfortable, there was plenty of parking, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

A warm welcome every time at this cheapo hotel. It’s no frills, but there’s a comfy bed and a deep bath. If you can choose, go for one of the refurbished upstairs rooms. Breakfast across the road is pretty decent for the price.

The staff were very nice, and my wheelchair accessible room worked well for my needs. The corridors don’t have enough space for both my walker and the cleaning trolleys, though, so depending on when you head out, you can get stuck and need to ask staff to move a trolley temporarily. They were happy to do that. I liked the hotel’s quirky, quaint feel and long, narrow layout, with the canal right opposite. The bed was huge, but when I entered my room, I was hit by a mould smell. The bathroom door was also very hard to shut.

This is a bit contradictory. The staff at the hotel and pub/restaurant were great, the beds were great as usual, and the food was cooked well. I stay at Premier Inns all over the UK, and my overall experience with the chain is great. But the portion for the price was terrible. My salt & pepper calamari and coated chips cost around £12, nearly the price of a main, and there was far less food than at other Premier Inns. When I entered the restaurant, a staff member was talking with a family member who was clearly struggling, speaking very loudly about personal details. That’s a management issue, and they should have told the person the staff member wasn’t available or that it wasn’t appropriate to discuss that there. It wasn’t the staff member’s fault. During dinner, staff were setting up for breakfast, and one person was sitting on tables used for food, which is a food hygiene no-no. The chef dropped the fruit juice dispenser lids on the floor and didn’t clean them, another no-no. In the morning the brown sauce and juice dispensers were empty, and there was no juice in the restaurant. The coffee machine was empty too, so the coffee was rubbish, with no more available on site. That’s not the staff’s fault either. Whoever handles stock control needs to improve, unless letting supplies run low is the place’s policy instead of keeping an extra one on the shelf. As I said, this isn’t a reflection on the staff, cleanliness or my overall experience. It’s constructive criticism.
