Set in rural Westbury, this is a really lovely pub. On a warm summer evening the outdoor space was ideal, with plenty of benches, its own bar and fresh pizzas from a separate van. The food looked fantastic, and I especially loved the toast and calamari plates. The mackerel toast at £9 felt a little steep. We ordered three burgers, including the Korean one, which was a nice portion but sweeter than I liked. I haven't tried one before, so I'm not sure whether that's typical. The burgers were lovely otherwise. Friendly staff gave great service. Parking was free, though fairly busy on a Friday night. I'd recommend a visit.

The Three Daggars is a lucky local spot for us, and we'll be back soon. We had dinner there last Thursday in the extension, which had a pleasant feel with just three tables. Our serving staff were attentive and very friendly. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. I had the squid starter and flat iron steak with salad, all cooked beautifully, and the dressing was perfect. My husband was extremely happy with his mushroom parfait starter and cheeseburger main.

We enjoyed the excellent set-menu lunch, with tasty food brought out promptly by friendly, efficient staff. The fries were a real highlight, even better than the thick-cut chips with the fish and chips. The cosy, rustic atmosphere was lovely. The weather wasn't great, so I hope to come back and try the outdoor seating.

My room was beautiful, spotless and incredibly cosy, with stylish furnishings that made the overnight stay feel like a treat. The farm shop was a lovely extra, with local produce and tempting things to take home. For the comfort, hospitality and food, the prices felt like excellent value. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive, making dinner and breakfast easy and enjoyable while still giving us room to relax. Dinner was a proper, satisfying meal: the meat was full of flavour and cooked just right, the roast potatoes were crisp, and the seasonal vegetables were fresh. The rich, silky gravy brought it all together. This countryside pub gave me a memorable night away, and I'd return in a heartbeat.

We’ve used this as an easy place to meet friends a few times. The atmosphere is lovely, and it’s always busy on Sundays. We’ve mostly had the roasts, so I can’t speak for the rest of the menu. They’ve been okay, but not exceptional, and we don’t think they’re worth £22. There’s barely any gravy, and an extra half-filled portion costs £2, even though it’s flavoursome. There aren’t many vegetables beyond potatoes. Apple and horseradish sauces are listed on the menu but don’t come with the roasts automatically. The beef was delicious this time; the pork belly was nice but fatty. Service varies. We haven’t always had the same waitstaff throughout a meal, which doesn’t work as well, and some of the younger staff don’t seem very interested in the job. Crumble and brownie were good, but the rice pudding was truly bad. We heard someone at the next table ask for theirs to be taken away because they couldn’t eat it, but tried ours anyway. None of the four of us could manage it either: it wasn't sweet at all, and was overcooked, with burnt crispy bits outside and dry, stodgy rice pudding inside. When we told the waitress, she didn't seem interested and simply took the plates away. We were surprised it stayed on the bill, especially as other diners had the same problem. Maybe it was a bad batch, but it wasn't handled very well. The indoor setup and atmosphere are great, while the food and service are usually okay. We’ll try something other than a roast next time.
