Best Western Hotel Rembrandt

I’d give it about three stars. It was a pleasant visit, with a nice setting and a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna available. I believe there’s also a gym open to outside members. The Sunday carvery roast is reasonably priced, and I have to say the beef and pork were excellent and locally sourced. There’s on-site parking too, a serious bonus in summer. I’d happily visit again and recommend it.

The staff were a 10/10, and the cleanliness was too. Everyone was helpful, friendly and professional, and the hotel was spotless with a lovely bar and restaurant. We stayed over Christmas at hotel rembrandt weymouth. Food gets 8/10. The bed in our executive room was also a 10/10, while the shower gets 5/10: the pressure could be better and it needs another shelf. We paid £700 for the room, and honestly could have booked a room at the local premiere inn for less. The more expensive rooms didn’t come with any real perks. Adding things to the room was still an optional £25 a day, room service still cost extra, and the dated TV had no apps or option to cast or mirror from a phone or tablet. The WiFi wasn’t secure. I’d honestly have paid another £2 a night for secure WiFi rather than having none at all. The plugs by the bed were low down behind the bedside table. That’s a small inconvenience for most, but with sciatica it was difficult to move the table and bend down. Most modern places put them higher up beside the bed, usually level with the table. There was also a flickering lamp, and I’d rate the electronics and tech 1/10. The hotel offers a spa, but you can’t book through reception or online. With my mental disability, it got confusing, especially as I was also being redirected to book Christmas dinner. Because of all that confusion, we missed out on Christmas dinner and couldn’t get into the spa. Tech matters a lot, especially if you’re stuck in the room over Christmas because of bad weather or feeling unwell. With no secure internet and little to watch, I’d personally choose somewhere cheaper that offers those basic things. Would I return? Yes, if nothing else was available.

Our girls had a great time at this hotel and especially loved the pool. We could sit at the bar with a nice drink and keep an eye on them swimming, which worked really well. The pool area was pleasantly warm, the food was quite good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A lovely family place to stay in Weymouth.

Everyone was friendly and worked hard, and the cleaners did an amazing job. Another great stay, everything was perfect for us. Breakfast was great, and we ate in the restaurant too. The food was excellent and there was so much of it. A big shout out to the chef and Mike for all their hard work. Thank you all 😁
