The room was excellent and surprisingly affordable for the quality, so I'd have no hesitation recommending it to friends and family visiting. There was plenty of parking outside, and the extras, including a microwave if you need one, were kept in a good-quality caravan shed. If you're staying, book dinner at the ravensworth arms, it was very nice. Communication by text before arrival was easy, too. Thanks for everything, and please keep things as they are, it's great. 👍😊

It's peaceful, beautifully clean, and convenient for the family we were visiting. We stayed here in 2017 and were looking forward to coming back, but the breakfast arrangement has changed. You no longer go to the house for breakfast; now it's self-service from a trailer, with only continental food. That's fine when the weather's nice enough to sit outside, but there's nowhere in the room to sit and eat. Such a shame, since we loved the breakfasts in 2017. The rooms were still well kept, but the fridge was noisy and kept us awake, running constantly with its light on.

The directions were clear, and self check-in worked well since we arrived late. The room was spotless, comfortable, lovely and warm, with everything we could need already thought of. There was a breakfast bag in the room, plus a trailer with extras. It's very handy for Beamish Museum. I'd definitely recommend it and will be back.

The flat was lovely, with its own entrance and plenty of outdoor space to sit. We only stayed one night, and the huge bed was ridiculously comfortable. It’s about a 20-minute drive to Newcastle. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back.

The welcome pack was genuinely handy, with hand-drawn maps and restaurant suggestions. I tried the local Indian restaurant and really enjoyed it. Neil and Emily were warm and helpful, and I got the sense they’d do whatever they could to help. The room, grounds and property were immaculate, and the bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. I slept really well and breakfast was fantastic. I can see why guests rate this place so highly. I don’t often give five stars unless a stay feels exceptional, and this one did. I’d highly recommend it and would stay again when I’m nearby. It’s nice to find somewhere that ticks all the boxes.
