The staff were genuinely caring and worried about us. After we’d checked out, my boyfriend fell outside the hotel and hit his head. They brought us back inside and helped him with first aid and a drink. Even though they were fully booked, they let us use another room for a while so he could pull himself together and calm down. They didn’t have to do that. Thank you to Tim for arranging it all. We’d stayed over the weekend; the room was nice, and the hotel had arranged flowers for my birthday from my boyfriend, a lovely touch. The location is within walking distance of everywhere we needed to be.

The staff were fantastic, giving a warm welcome and knowing their stuff. They were a pleasure every time we came and went. The only reason we marked down the room was the shower, which was useless, with no water pressure, and there were no robes. That may sound dramatic, but those were the only things missing from the room. Parking is convenient, just a two-minute walk from the hotel, though the spaces are a little tight and overnight parking costs £3 more than Peel Street car park right next to it.

The staff were the highlight, especially Phoebe, who was smiley, welcoming, and made it clear she enjoyed her work. Nothing was too much trouble, and that made a real difference. The room was clean, modern, classy, and great. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the continental choices. It’s an easy five-minute walk to the city centre, yet far enough away from the noisy area. We had a great stay.

Phoebe was the star of our stay, a ray of sunshine on a cold, rainy day. She was so friendly and welcoming, a real asset to the hotel. We stayed for the first time last week and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. The location was great and the rooms lovely. Breakfast had good choices, though it was a bit chaotic, with some waiting staff shouting across the room and seeming a little factious. It was probably just one of those days. We look forward to coming back ourselves.
