The Bentley Guest House

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices for different dietary needs, and the service was exceptional. The rooms are fantastic, tastefully decorated and very clean, with everything we needed. Even an iron and ironing board were in our room, and since it was so warm during this visit, the upright fan helped keep us comfortable and cool. Mick is always friendly and helpful. The two women who cleaned the rooms to such a high standard were lovely and hardworking too. We first came here 17 years ago and still can't recommend Brontë Guest house highly enough. Mick, Mandy and the girls, thank you for all your hard work and for always making us feel welcome. We're already looking forward to coming back. Love and best wishes Aldith & Andy x

Bronte was ideally located, and our room was a great size and extremely comfortable. The guest house was exceptionally clean, and Mike and the staff were absolutely brilliant. We had a fabulous short stay and will definitely use Bronte again when we're next in York. Thank you.

We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see, while the guest house was far enough from the bustle to stay quiet and peaceful. It was excellent value, and we'd return if we come back to York. My husband and I spent two nights at Brontë Guest House. The room was incredibly comfortable, and the en suite bathroom was lovely. The heating was out when we arrived, but Mick had already put a portable heater in our room. I'm usually cold, yet I was comfortable throughout the stay. Breakfast was delicious too.

Mandy and Mick gave us a lovely welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Natalia, the young lady serving breakfast, was lovely too. The beds were comfy and the place spotless. We stayed last weekend with my wife and friends, and can't wait to return.
