Novotel York Centre

The room was spacious and spotless, and the bed was so comfortable. We also had a relaxing dip in the pool and time in the sauna. Those 30-minute slots worked really well, especially with the school holiday crowds. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and hot, with quick, friendly service. My partner and I had a fantastic stay, thanks to everyone who made us feel so welcome and looked after. Special thanks to Kai, Pete, Sarah, Rehka and Daggi, and to Kate, who I got to say hi to!

The shared areas were tidy and had plenty of facilities, and the reception team were attentive and super helpful. Our room, though, felt a bit neglected and wasn't very clean. The hotel could use some attention. I imagine it was really good when it was first built.

Karl, our waiter, deserves a special thanks. He took time to get to know us, and turned an evening meal with colleagues into a memorable night full of good food, wine and laughter. Everyone on staff was helpful and attentive. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast had a good range of choices.

We started our UK holiday from the US with a stay at Novotel York, and from booking onward the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. After checking in, we had dinner and chatted with Kai, who made us feel welcome straight away. Our room had little chocolate treats, biscuits and balloons waiting for us. After long days out, we loved curling up to watch films by casting from my phone to the TV with Google Cast. The pool was fun, the sauna relaxing, and breakfast was delicious even when it got busy during the school holidays. Thanks to Kai, Pete, Dagi and Rekha for being so kind. We'd absolutely stay here again on our next visit.
