Quality Inn Pinehurst Area

I booked at 6 PM and asked to check in late at 6 AM. I called at 5 AM to make sure it was all set, and the employee said he’d checked me out during his audit because of “company policy.” That left me stuck sleeping in my work truck. Then I found out he hadn’t checked me out at all. I had to call the provider and jump through 30 hoops to cancel a reservation I never wanted canceled, all because an employee couldn’t figure out a late check-in. I’ll never stay here or at another CHOICE location. Enjoy your day.

For $40 a night, you get what you pay for. The Quality Inn Pinehurst Area in Aberdeen, North Carolina, was a roach infestation, and the people running it came across as snobby. I wish I had time to explain properly how dissatisfied I was, but the list of things I’d call good about the hotel and staff is much shorter than the list of things that would make your skin crawl.

I paid for two nights but left instead because the room was so unpleasant. It smelled awful and felt dirty, and the bathroom was filthy. The lampshade had mold, and there were cigarette burns on both the desk chair and lampshade, even though the room was supposed to be non-smoking. The door didn’t close or lock properly, either. This Quality Inn felt run-down and poorly maintained. I wouldn’t stay here again and would strongly suggest looking somewhere else.

The price was decent, about $85 for a weekday in March 2025, so we weren’t expecting much from breakfast. It was mostly bread and coffee, though the attendant did try to keep the area tidy. The room itself was clean and suited our needs, with decent Wi-Fi and plenty of hot shower water. The pillows were much too thick for me and left my neck stiff. It was noisy overnight from the AC and road traffic. Check-in was friendly and all the staff were nice. The location was easy to find, with a great Chinese food buffet right next door.
