Travelodge Aberdeen

Madison at the front desk was fantastic: friendly, professional, and genuinely great at her job. This was my first stay at the hotel, and I was happy with everything. She’s a real asset to the place.

There aren’t many hotel or motel choices in Aberdeen, WA, so my colleagues and I spent the night here before driving back to Seattle. The room was an old, standard motel room, but clean enough, with a mini fridge and microwave. There’s a coin laundry two blocks away, handy after four days on the road, though doing laundry there isn’t cheap. A few restaurants and a Safeway are nearby too.

We were traveling very late and stopped in to ask about a room. Within about a minute, a man rode up on a bike and tried to sell my husband “candy,” twice, including once just before we got into our room. None of the room lights worked either. I’m grateful the young man there arranged a refund so we could leave.

For the price, it worked for our large family needing two rooms. The kids felt safe and slept well, the AC worked great, and the shower was one of my best in a while. The downsides: breakfast was mostly sugary items with little choice, the wallpaper was bubbling, and I noticed a faint cigarette smell in my room.
