TownePlace Suites by Marriott Abilene Southwest

The room design was really useful, with plenty of storage and little details for travelers. I liked being able to start the shower without getting splashed. There are filtered water stations on every floor, a spotless gym with lots of equipment, and a breakfast area with nice extras, including several hot sauces, good toppings, and a delicious quiche one morning. Helen and Pamela were especially warm, friendly, and accommodating. This newer TownePlace Suites impressed me, and it was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.

Though the hotel was fully booked, it was so quiet that I never heard a toilet flush or water running. My room was spacious, clean, and peaceful, and breakfast was delicious with real eggs and a good range of choices. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. I was only in town for one business night, but I'll definitely stay here again if I return to Abilene.

The location was handy, close to several restaurants and stores, which matters since Abilene doesn't have much. I felt refreshed after each busy day in this welcoming, clean, spacious suite. There was a refreshing fruit drink 😋 and free breakfast, and each room had the essential appliances and utilities for either a short or long stay. My stay was amazing!

The facility is very nice and has been well maintained so far. But the cleaning product smell in my room was overwhelming. The bathroom vent was already running when I arrived, so they must know how strong it gets. I woke in the night with burning sinuses and a bad headache. I do appreciate a clean room, but please reconsider the product or concentrate, especially since the windows can't be opened. That doesn't seem healthy for anyone.
