Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Albany North

There was no breakfast despite the ad, and the clerk wanted to charge extra even after I said I had a reservation. I booked through the app. After midnight, a group of six men partying was moved from the front of the building to the side where my room was. I stopped staying with the Wyndham group because they don't screen franchisees, and CHOICE doesn't either. It costs more than Days Inn but gives less quality.

I stayed a couple of nights in a newly renovated room. It was clean and comfortable, and there was continental breakfast. Housekeeping were friendly, and someone at the front desk was always available to help.

I booked ahead, but when I arrived I realized I didn't have my license with me, so they refused to check me in. They marked me as a no-show and still charged my card. When I called, they said it wasn't them, even though the charge showed econo lodge. Choice told me the hotel had marked me as a no-show and charged me under its “policy.” They seem willing to do anything to get your money.

The area stayed peaceful and felt safe, with no troublemakers around. Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful at check-in, and housekeeping cleaned the room daily, leaving fresh towels and everything neat. The room was comfortable and clean, with fresh linens, a spotless bathroom, working Wi-Fi and A/C. There are several food chains and local diners nearby for an easy meal, and the price was budget-friendly without giving up comfort or cleanliness. I'd definitely stay again.
