I stayed from 2/8-5/1/2021 in Room 222 for a three-month work assignment in travel nursing. When I arrived on Sunday, a woman holding a sweet, quiet baby came to the door to let me into the lobby. It was clean, with plenty of signs about the hotel and COVID-19 disruptions. Check-in was quick. She didn't say much, gave me one key, and I went across the parking lot to my building. The building entrance was unlocked even though there was a key-card panel by the handle, and it was dirty. I took the stairs instead of the elevator. On my floor I immediately smelled cigarette smoke to my left, which I'm allergic to. My room door wasn't fully shut. The room was far below expectations: it wasn't clean, there was burnt food on the stove and backsplash, and the floors hadn't been vacuumed, swept, or mopped. There was no dish set, no blanket on the bed or extra bedding for the pullout couch, a strange black grime across the walls, no shower curtain liner, dirty bed linens, and just one full set of towels. I called Tuesday to ask for another room because my first day of work had kept me busy all Monday and the office closed before 6 PM. The man I spoke to was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He said he'd inspected the room himself and it was fine. He also claimed the whole state of New York had no housekeeping, which seemed odd because I'd stayed at two other hotels in New York State before arriving, including one two doors away. He told me to come get cleaning supplies at the front desk after a full 12-hour workday. I spent $40 of my own money on proper cleaners, and it took a week to get the room clean enough for me to feel comfortable for the rest of my stay. While other hotels were doing more to make guests feel safe and comfortable during the pandemic, Pine Bush had gone backwards. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We spent over $1,000 for a week in one of their two-bedroom “apartments,” and it was disgusting. Black mold was in all three AC and heat units, the sink leaked badly onto the floor whenever it was running, and there was no hot water at all for showers. None of the room thermostats worked, and staff were nowhere to be found when we needed them. The room had no trash bags or toilet paper when we arrived. Long-term residents blasted music and shouted at all hours of the night. This place was atrocious. We should have burned our money instead of staying here. Such a shame.

After driving 1,700 miles from South Florida, I slept so well here. It's a quiet, safe area, and the apartment-like room felt comfortable. Everything was super clean, there are plenty of things nearby, and the highway is easy to get to. The staff were the best, and I couldn't find anything to complain about. They did their best to provide whatever I asked for, and the welcome kit was great. The laundry room was especially cool, I'd never used a washer and dryer through Bluetooth before. I had the best stay I've had in Albany, maybe anywhere, at Pine Bush Suites.

The rooms are pretty spacious, and the employees are nice. Laundry and drying cost extra. The 24-hour gym made me laugh, it was just two treadmills. The prices are great for students, hands down.

The laundry setup was modern, and I could easily download the payment app on my phone. There’s also free flavored coffee in the lobby and a small gym. The staff were really pleasant, and the on-site amenities were nice.
