Comfort Inn & Suites Albuquerque Downtown

The rooms were dirty, with floors that clearly hadn't been vacuumed and hair in the bathtub before my first shower. At check-in, the guy was terribly rude and made comments about my appearance just because he had to come out from the back to help me. I tried speaking to management, but she seemed to think his behavior was fine and refused to do anything. There was also a sticky trap full of bugs in the hallway near my room.

The staff welcomed us, and they were bilingual, which was nice. Breakfast was good too. We stayed one night while traveling, and the rooms, hallways, and parking lot were clean. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy, but it is a city. We had two vehicles, including a truck full of belongings because we were moving someone cross-country, and nothing was bothered.

We arrived late and got a warm welcome from the nice staff. The two rooms we had were decent, though they smelled musty, which is why I’m giving four stars instead of five. The location felt a bit sketchy. I’d probably stay here again while passing through Albuquerque, but for a few nights I’d choose an area that felt better.

We had a great three-night stay, and the location worked well. Even though the hotel is next to the highway, it was never loud. The parking lot is roomy, which helped with our trailer, and that’s a real rarity for a downtown hotel. Our room was nice, though the layout felt a little cramped. The outdoor hot tub was a welcome treat and breakfast was good. Roger checked us in and was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. He’s a real credit to the hotel. We’ll be back and recommend it to anyone stopping in Albuquerque.
