Red Roof Inn Hot Springs

The parking lot was rough during the snow and ice storm. I know the weather was bad, but it could have been cleared better. Inside, there was hair on the bed and in the shower, and the room labeled as accessible wasn't. My mother fell trying to use the bathroom because the proper grab bars weren't there, which felt very unsafe for someone with a disability. At the back of the hotel, half the rooms were boarded up and the rest looked broken into. We booked at the last minute, so I was grateful to have a bed, but this place was below even our modest standards. A terrible choice for a vacation at Red Roof Inn.

The only real problem for me was the shower. Its water pressure was so weak that after a long day mining for quartz and diamonds, I couldn't get properly clean. The walk-in shower had more of a gentle bubbling stream than a strong spray, and I ended up with brown towels from drying off. At least the attendants came around each morning with fresh ones. Otherwise, the RR Inn was clean, quiet, dog-friendly, and pretty much what I expected. I don't know what the other guests were complaining about.

Great location, but the room had stained linens, a moldy shower, and walls and ceiling that were cracking and bubbling. The AC unit was propped in place with a piece of wood. They'd left coffee pods but no tray to make coffee. It felt like another place where the employees had stopped caring.

The desk still had a sticky soda spill on it, and the floor had crumbs. I found a hair in the bed when I pulled back the sheet. The bed wasn't especially comfortable, though it worked well enough, and the pillow labels for firm and soft were switched. The shower barely had any pressure, and the vanity was so close to the toilet it was like having an armrest while using it. Friends had also warned me this wasn't a good part of town to be in after dark.
