The courtyard was a nice place to sit, and the gym looked good. If you stay here, I'd ask for a courtyard-facing room. Ours looked onto the expressway, and cars racing by loudly at night made it hard to sleep. The toilet ran nonstop, there were ceiling cracks that looked like a child's repair attempt, and the windows were dirty inside and out. The pool itself is nice but small, and the pool area needs a thorough cleaning. They don't serve continental breakfast, just morning coffee. It feels like the place could be much nicer with some work.

The lobby and bar used to be a great part of the hotel, and I loved showing the place to my travel companions. After the update, the white paint, light grey stone, and clinical white lighting have made it feel stark. I wish they'd bring back the old warm adobe style, the warm lights, and Spanish tile floors. Now I stay only because it's convenient, and I may try the Marriott next time. I visit once or twice a year, and the rooms are typical Courtyard.

Our 17 month old found this “welcome gift” in the nightstand while we were unpacking. The staff were great, friendly, and helpful, and the location is handy for restaurants, gas, and whatever else you need. But the rooms felt dated, and the hotel was noisy even on the side away from the highway. Ours had no carpet, which felt odd, and I wish it had been cleaner and nicer. Next time we drive through on the way to AZ, we'll stay at the Fairfield or SpringHill Suites, which are nicer Marriott options.

The staff responded quickly when guests raised concerns about a group of drunk people at the pool on 6/24. I appreciated how the General Manager handled the situation professionally and how quickly the team acted. The adults were visibly intoxicated, drinking from glass beer bottles and cups of alcohol, while their unattended kids threw balls at other guests. The GM asked them to remove the alcohol for everyone's safety. One guest assaulted her and blocked her from reentering the pool. Even after that, she stayed calm. The woman's husband said he was going to "punch the lady (general manager) in the face." The two couples made such a scene over being asked to remove the alcohol that their kids were in tears. The woman who assaulted the manager then kept making racist remarks. Several guests, including me, began recording because the couple were obviously drunk and willing to assault staff. I applaud the manager and staff for their professional handling of this and quick response to other guests' concerns.

We stayed one night, and the room was filthy and dusty. Dead bugs were by the curtains, dust covered the tables, lamps, and TV, and there were dirty spots on the bedding. The gym and pool are in a separate building, which was a nice touch, and both were empty. The staff were friendly, but I'm staying at Hiltons from now on.
