Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Albuquerque Airport

Housekeeping was awesome and everything else was great, but the room could use a little touch-up. The bathroom wallpaper is peeling. The pool and hot tub were really dirty, with leaves, dirt, bugs, hair, and more. The grill area wasn't clean either, with old meat on the ground and around the grill. There were no pool towels, so I called the desk and asked someone to bring some. Nobody came after 20 minutes, and we had to walk through the lobby soaking wet to get towels ourselves.

Jinlong really made breakfast feel special. He's attentive and polite with guests, and takes a lot of pride in the food they put out. I manage in hospitality myself, and I have nothing to complain about with the hotel. Jinlong deserves credit for making the stay exceptional. Keep it up, Jinlong.

The man who checked us in was very nice, which is why I'm giving three stars. The room didn't look newly renovated, whatever the listing said. My wife was uneasy about sitting in the chair, the bed was very hard, and the shower was awful. The door wouldn't latch, and mineral buildup on the showerhead made water spray in different directions. It reminded me of a low-end hotel. I won't come back.

The breakfast was good, and the breakfast staff were great. The location works well if you need to be near the airport or base, and parking was pretty good. Applebee's in the lot is an easy dinner if you're pressed for time. The HVAC's always-on fan mode and lack of a minimum temperature setting are a real plus. Noise travels easily from the hallway, and loud guests in other rooms can be a problem. The fitness room only has one treadmill.
