Painted Lady Bed & Brew

Meeting Kate was a highlight of our two-night stay while traveling across New Mexico. She hosted Happy Hour each evening and was warm, welcoming, and great to talk with. She’s a wonderful representative for both the Painted Lady and Albuquerque. From booking through our late arrival, everything went smoothly. The directions, parking details, and self-check-in instructions were clear and thoughtful. The property was immaculate, and the grounds felt intimate and secure. Our room had eclectic décor and everything we needed for a short break or a longer stay. Thank you, Painted Lady, for the hospitality. We look forward to coming back!

The Charlie room was full of relics from the place’s time as a brothel and saloon, and we had fun learning about its history. In the middle of the night, after we’d settled into bed, the motion-sensing night light came on and woke me. My spouse was asleep, so maybe we had a visit from a ghost! It was a wonderful stay with a delightful spooky feel. Check-in was easy, and although we didn’t need to contact the owners, they’d left us plenty of ways to reach them if we needed anything. Such a neat spot.

The Painted Lady brewery is tiny, but the beers were wonderful. I’m kind of a beer snob and was delighted by the house stout, A Naked American Man Stole My Balloons. Great movie shout-out, and another example of the owner’s attention to detail. Wait and Jesse were amazing, serving as servers, guides, and buds while I was there. I loved the place so much that I added two days to my original three-day stay, and I can’t wait to come back. The rooms were comfortable and pleasant, with hand-picked decor that shows off ABQ’s history. The history, craft beers, friendly people, interesting details, spooky feel, and great neighborhood all made this an awesome stay. The hotel/AirBnB grounds are charming and secure, with private patios, shared seating areas, and a fire pit. Inside an original Alburquerque bus is the saloon. Take time to look at all the photos, they’re informative and well chosen. The place is spooky if you want it to be.

Jesse has made the Painted Lady Bed & Brew feel very welcoming. Barkeep Jordan Jonas told us about its origins and impressed us with his skill as a magician, making our stay even more memorable. It’s a unique place that brings parts of Albuquerque’s past to life.
