Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel

The staff were super friendly, and RJ behind the bar was great. My room was clean and decent, with a good bed and pillows. The airport was close enough to walk to, though the hotel also runs shuttles. My only real complaint was the connecting door to the next room. My neighbor was noisy enough that it felt like he was right in my room, so I didn’t feel I had any privacy. I’d ask for a room without a connecting door.

The bartender was so kind, and the drinks were beautifully made. That’s what brought me back the next night. The customer service was great from check-in through dining and checkout. My husband and I found the hotel unusually clean and friendly, especially for the price. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere nice to relax and unwind for a few days.

The rooms have been updated, and I was happy with mine. There was plenty of space and a nice view of the mountains and airport. Ask for the odd-numbered side. Breakfast was a mess. They were short staffed, with one person trying to handle everything, and the buffet costs $15. I’d strongly suggest finding breakfast elsewhere. Management should give employees more support when things get tight. The shuttle runs on demand, so call the hotel to request it. Our driver, Michael, was a natural at hospitality and should be teaching the rest of the staff. If you’re in a hurry, get an Uber. Don’t take a local taxi, since there’s a $15 minimum for what is a three-minute ride. At check-in, the receptionist was okay, but nothing special. She didn’t mention my elite status, so I asked about being on the club floor. I ended up two floors below with no explanation. This place is a joke about elite status. I usually get a welcome gift and breakfast, but they said I could choose points or breakfast, then handed me vouchers for oatmeal or something else I couldn’t figure out.

Julio really came through for us. We arrived on 12/19, and he noticed my birthday had been the day before, on 12/18. I jokingly asked if that meant an upgrade. He looked curious, then said it seemed my room was a club deluxe. He put us on the 14th floor with access to CLUB 15. Amazing service. Julio is the man! The room itself was nice, but the AC barely blew warm air. We set it to 68, yet the room was 77. That’s unacceptable. We slept miserably the first night. On the second night we turned the air off completely, and the temperature dropped about five degrees, so we slept much better.
