The room had a simple retro look, without going overboard, and was clean. I stayed three nights in mid-February 2026, and the rate felt like good value. It was quiet, and the front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to.

The food, bar, patio, price, and location were all great. But what makes The Imperial stand out is how thoroughly it commits to the mid-century feel. Even the mini-fridge and luggage stand fit the retro style, and there are real plants in the room. The lobby details go well beyond a color scheme and a few old-looking chairs and lamps. If you’re in town, stay here.

My son picked this as his favorite hotel from our two-week cross-country trip. We all liked the stylish decor, the clean room, and the really comfortable bed. There was plenty of seating, space to work on laptops, and room to put our things. The pool area looked peaceful, though it was closed for winter. Free laundry was a big bonus, and the employees we met were friendly and helpful. There’s a small crystal shop in the complex and a great restaurant across the street.

My in-laws spent one night here, and it was so cute. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully put together. We had Venezuelan food at the excellent food hall: cachapa, breakfast with stewed shredded beef, arepas, and fried plantains, all fantastic. The coffee shop had a cool retro feel too. Highly recommend.

The rooms are adorable and comfortable, and the front desk staff were lovely. I was glad I researched this place for my cross-country drive. Being close to the highway made it convenient, and although I was concerned about parking, I could leave my car right by my room. There are also restaurant options on site. I’d highly recommend The Imperial to anyone considering a stay in NM.
