The room itself had a missing top on the AC vent and no fire alarm. The door didn't close properly, and a small tug on the outside handle made it come away from the door. The front desk guy had first given me the key to someone else's room, where I walked in on two men. It's cheap, but still really terrible. They did give me a refund.

I usually don't complain about bad motel rooms, especially when they're cheap, but this was easily the worst room I've ever stayed in. The bed was completely infested with bed bugs. I'd never seen them in my life before, and then there they were everywhere. The shower was disgusting, there wasn't even a chair, and everything felt like a catastrophe. Pay the extra $10 a night and go somewhere else. Save yourself.

I came all the way from North Dakota, and they didn't take that into account. I was left on hold for 40 minutes and got no help. The customer service and hospitality were the worst, and they seemed completely unconcerned. If they cared as they claimed, they would've refunded me or called to check whether I was going to make my reservation, like any hotel would.

I left after the first night because I didn't feel safe. In the back building, the room's deadbolt wouldn't lock from inside, the balcony light was out and the area dim, and shady people were hanging around the balcony and my door late at night. There was also a shared door to the room next door. I'd come from out of state hoping to start over in NM, and the reasonable rate had appealed to me. They put me first in a front building room they called “newly renovated,” but it had bed bugs. They then suggested I might have brought them myself, which I denied and could easily have disproved, since I'd never had bed bugs before. When I asked for a refund so I could find somewhere else, they moved me to the back building room instead. I'd paid a month ahead because it was cheaper than the weekly rate. They returned my $100 security deposit but refused to refund any of the room payment because of their NO REFUND policy. I lost three weeks of room rate, $900, at this hotel, which I consider infested with bugs and drugs. They'll gladly take your money if you don't know what you're getting into. Don't make the mistake I did.
