Towne Motel Alexandria

We paid a good price for a king room and found it clean, with a working mini fridge and a great Keurig. The room was a reasonable size, not huge, not tiny. A bus stop right across the street goes to the subway. Driving into central DC took around 20-30 minutes, which made sense with traffic. Not much else I could ask for.

I’ve stayed here twice for DC conferences and would probably come back. It’s a comfortable, clean motel with a microwave and refrigerator, close to the Washington DC train. Nothing fancy, but a solid budget option.

The staff were really helpful, and the location was good, about a 10-minute walk to the metro. Inside, the room was comfortable, with a comfortable bed, Direct TV, and a great coffee maker. The heating and cooling were loud but worked well. Outside looked run down, and the place needs refurbishing. The price was good, but I didn’t feel safe, even though nothing happened. I’d say 2.5 stars.

The owners were respectful and very helpful. The room was clean aside from some mold on the shower curtain. I’d suggest checking behind the curtains for cleanliness and putting king-size sheets on the king beds. The sheets didn’t fit and only covered the top, so they came loose in the middle of the night.
