The heated pool and gym were nice, and the included breakfast was convenient. I was on the second floor for four nights. The bathroom fan didn’t work, so it wasn’t exactly a friendly place to poop unless yours smells like roses. It was noisy outside on two nights, not great for light sleepers.

Melinda at the front desk has the sweetest manner and really cares about good service. I’ve stayed at TownePlace several times while traveling from north to south, and she helped my family right away when a relative had a medical emergency. We’re back in town for another event now, and I referred my traveling family here. They all said their check-in with Melinda was the friendliest they’d had. My husband and I both used to work hotel front desk jobs in Richmond and were trained intensively in customer service. Melinda and the other front desk staff we dealt with have been top notch. Whenever something was wrong with our room, they fixed it without hesitation. Thanks for making our stays at TownePlace exemplary!

In the entryway, there’s a board updated each day with local weather and driving times. I enjoyed the hotel overall.

The place was really clean, quiet at night, and the breakfast was better than average.

The room had a faint, odd smell like an old-age home, but breakfast was good and the service was excellent, friendly, and accommodating. Restaurants and a pharmacy are within walking distance. I’d definitely come back.
