I can't comment on staying here since I ended up booking a different Super 8 closer to my route. I had accidentally made the reservation through Expedia, and after spending an hour trying to cancel it with no luck, the Algona manager helped me sort it out. Five stars for the manager's help, minus 10 for Expedia.

The service, when there was any, was bad, and there are barely any outlets. No coffee or breakfast either. The rooms looked and smelled awful. If you can put up with the smell of dead bodies and having no amenities, maybe this is your place, but I wouldn't stay here.

I only lasted a few hours before leaving and sleeping in my truck. The room was filthy, like it hadn't been vacuumed in months, with bugs in the bathroom and black mold on the wall. I had no towels. Two hours after they said they'd bring some, I went down and got two supposedly clean ones, but one had feces stains and the other didn't even look washed. The air conditioner looked like it was from the 1970s and didn't work. I travel for work, and this was easily the worst hotel I've stayed in. Stay away.

The place is run down, and the air conditioning barely works. It stinks really badly, and there was hardly any hot water. We were looking forward to breakfast because they advertise it, but when we went to ask, they said they don't serve breakfast. Not great at all.
