Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Allen at Allen Event Center

The bistro was a highlight for food and company. Everything we tried tasted great, and Heather and Eliud made excellent drinks. I especially recommend the old fashioned and espresso martini, both tasted just right for a specialty bar. They were welcoming, friendly, and happy to chat, some of the best people I've met. The hotel itself is in a great location, with a beautiful lobby. Front desk associates were kind and helpful, and our room was clean. The balcony view wasn't bad either.

I've been back several times over the past three years, and the staff keep making the stay. They're friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. During my weeklong vacation, I had a couple of minor problems with my first room, but they moved me quickly. The hotel is dated and could use a renovation. Even so, I've had a completely excellent stay and will return.

I slept really well here, the beds were super comfortable after a long day. The location is handy too, with shops, a shopping center, and lots of restaurants close by. The gym was spotless and well equipped, with a water dispenser and fresh apples. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choices. Staff and management were quick to help with requests, and the lobby felt modern, inviting, and impeccably clean from the moment I arrived. I'd stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Allen.

Mr. Soto, the GM, stepped in after I sent feedback to Marriott about a terrible late-night check-in, and he addressed the problems and made amends. I appreciated that enough to come back, even though my stay involved a couple of separate visits. The rooms were clean and quite OK, though the air conditioning could get noisy. All the tubs are accessible tubs rather than the usual kind. Breakfast was decent, and some staff greeted us warmly, depending on who was there. The outdoor area is cozy, with mini-golf, sack toss, and a modern fireplace. The lobby has comfortable sofa chairs and rocking chairs. Free coffee was served in the morning. The location is good, with a couple of restaurants, thrift shops, Chinese BBQ, massages, and premium outlets nearby. The outlets are walkable, though getting there means crossing several roads. The bistro stayed open until 10 pm, which was useful, but the dinner menu had limited choices and could be expanded. The pool looked nice, but I didn't use it. The gym wasn't good: very cramped, with just two treadmills and weight machines, though they did keep apples there.
