Allenwood Motel

The bathroom was unsanitary, and when I asked for two more towels, I got a hard time and only received one. There was mold and leaking, everything felt out of date, and the covers had burn holes when I pulled them back. They don't seem to make improvements at all. It was far from comfortable, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. There's a reason business is so slow. If you're smart, you'll stay somewhere else.

We never felt safe or comfortable here. The owner seemed to monitor us constantly, staring into our room as he walked by and watching through his cracked door. At 9pm, he came outside after watching us through the door while we smoked a cigarette and told us to be quiet. We were shocked and went inside. The next day, as we were about to leave for the park, he came out and stared at us for several minutes, then went back in and kept watching. There was only one other guest at the entire motel. He also charged us $15 for someone who visited for 12 hours. After reading other reviews mentioning lights turning on by themselves, we were suspicious there might be cameras in the room. The place was badly outdated. The bathroom sink had layers of mold, and we found a dirty toothbrush and a baby sock left by a previous guest. It was all very uncomfortable.

I come here whenever I visit my family up this way. The owners are friendly and have always worked with me. It's a good location, and unlike other places, they don't take a deposit. Anywhere else would cost at least 300$!

We were so road weary that I needed to sleep, but my wife felt really uneasy here. The room had smoking, which was nice to have, but waking up covered in bed bug bites was awful. The walls and ceiling had nicotine dripping from them, the sheets were stained and full of holes, and the shower was in pretty bad shape. The room apparently had bed bugs, too. When we arrived, I noticed a camera in the corner by the ceiling facing the bed and covered it with a washcloth. I wouldn't recommend this place.
