Breakfast was good, the staff were friendly, and the bar with its DJ was the best. I was especially impressed by how clean our room was, right down to the carpet. The microwave, coffee maker, bed, and fridge were all clean too, with no buildup from missed cleaning. This is the best hotel we’ve stayed at so far, and the only one we’ll consider when visiting Pennsylvania. If you’re in Allentown PA, this is the spot. Thanks guys ⭐

I went with a friend to see a blues rock show, and the price was good. The venue was small, as expected, and seemed fine for a music festival. My friend got a room on the third floor and an early check-in, so I got to see it first. It was a clean, standard room with the usual furnishings. When I checked in later, though, my room was on the 100 level, which turned out to be underground, basically the basement. Staying down there felt like being in the bowels of the Titanic with the Riff Raff. The next morning’s breakfast was okay, and my friend’s room was decent, so maybe three stars is a little generous, but that’s what I’d give it.

My kids couldn’t stay in the pool for long because the water was freezing, and the area around it felt just as cold, almost like the air conditioning was running. We chose this stay specifically for the pool. I told staff about the temperature, but nothing changed. Other guests complained too, including people who had been there several days and had already asked for the heat to be turned up. It was really upsetting to lose the main reason for our visit that way. There were other issues as well. The phone in my room didn’t work, and after I asked twice, maintenance never showed up. The bathroom walls needed wiping and didn’t seem properly cleaned. It was also hard to get extra towels, blankets, and pillows for the pullout couch, since there seemed to be only one staff member around. I’d give the stay a 6 out of 10.

The layout made getting around inconvenient: entering meant going down stairs into something more like a motel, and we had to leave the building and walk or drive around to the front to get the complimentary breakfast. The room itself was tidy, but didn’t look quite like the photos or description. There were stains on the bathroom wall and tile floor, and the shower pressure was weak enough to make it hard to enjoy. In the middle of the night we woke to people screaming and swearing during a fight. That seemed typical of the clientele staying there. The place felt below average, and didn’t meet even moderate expectations for being modern, clean, or spacious.
