TownePlace Suites By Marriott Allentown West

This is the best TownePlace Suites I've stayed in. It's a fairly new property near US-22, with modern, very clean rooms that are spacious and comfortable. The hot and cold breakfast was better than at most other locations. You can't go wrong here, and I'll be back.

The gym could be better, but the hotel is pet friendly and has a water fountain. Breakfast at the bar was decent, and there is a gas station just across the street. The place is fairly new, tidy, and modern, with clean rooms. I also appreciated the complimentary parking. I'm tired of paying for hotel parking these days. And I liked having a hand towel hanger. I don't know why older hotels leave those out.

The property looked beautiful when I arrived, but the FDA was rude from the moment I walked in. He wouldn't honor the rate I had reserved, then questioned me about why I was visiting. I understand rate eligibility is a matter of policy, but accusing a guest of lying is basic hospitality gone wrong. I'd never been treated with such disrespect at a Marriott property. The hostility made me uncomfortable, so I left and found somewhere else to stay. Because of him, they lost three reservations. Horrible manners.

The suite was very clean, and the staff were more than helpful. We were given a small gift bag when we arrived, and someone wished us safe travels with a prayer at checkout. We appreciated that a lot. Traffic noise was the only downside. I'd recommend staying here.
