The location was good and breakfast was decent, but by checkout I just wanted to get out of there. I waited about five minutes for anyone to appear at the desk, so I didn't bring up the other problems. On arrival, the clerk seemed unenthusiastic and didn't ask to see my ID. My card had been pre-authorized for $110 for the room and $50 for incidentals, which was fine, but later I got a notice about another attempted $50 charge and $5.80. The room looked clean at first, though I found a clump of hair on the shower floor and another in the sheets. The TV remote's volume-down button didn't work. When my husband asked the clerk, he said all their remotes were like that and pointed him to another one.

I showed proof at check-in that my dog is an ADA service dog, but they charged me a pet fee anyway. The kid at the counter said the owner wanted fees for all animals. I've contacted Holliday Inn Express corporate to sort it out and get a refund. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The owners sound like they enjoy breaking the law.

Breakfast had a nice variety, and the front desk person was helpful and chatty, which made a bright start to the stay. The room was clean and so comfortable it exceeded my expectations, putting some higher-star hotels to shame. I'd definitely stay here again if I visit Alliance.

The location is a plus, and this might otherwise be a decent hotel. But in the morning they had Fox "here's why you're a victim" News on. At least put on local news, instead of a channel that calls itself "entertainment" whenever it gets sued for lying.

Of all the Holiday Inn stops on our road trip, this was the best. The rooms were clean, with no mold in the shower, and the staff were nice. Breakfast was a proper full spread with nothing missing. They also gave me toothpaste when I needed it, and it was better than the tiny tubes with weird brands and funny tastes some places hand out. We didn't like the pool area, so we skipped it, but the rest of the hotel was great.
