The quaint decor gave the motel a charming feel, and the beds were more comfortable than I expected. Our room was very clean, and we had a great stay. I do think the doors could use a second lock, but the property is clearly visible from the road and the doors and outdoor areas are well lit, so we felt safe. We’d stay here again next time we’re in the area.

My room felt like stepping back into the 1950s, which was a fun bit of nostalgia. Everything was very clean, and it was clear the owners, who live on the property, take good care of the place. The shower worked fine and had hot water, and the bed was comfortable. I chose it after seeing the high prices at chain hotels, and the owners were kind and helpful.

A classic old-style motel, kept clean and in good shape. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. Downtown and restaurants next door are just a short distance away.

The bathroom was so dirty I wouldn’t shower or walk barefoot in it. The heat register was falling apart, and black tape had been used to fix the toilet. I’m not sure how anyone could call the bathrooms updated, unless they mean updated in 1950. I added photos as proof. The room door felt flimsy and easy to break into, and the walls were paper thin, so it was loud. We wouldn’t have stayed the night if other hotels hadn’t been full and our vehicle hadn’t been too packed to sleep in. For $130 a night, this was a real dump. I can’t believe it had such a high rating. The reviews must be false, or the owners must spend all their spare time writing positive ones. Never again.

The stay was comfortable, but the scented bed linens nearly triggered an asthma attack because I’m allergic to those laundry products. I forgot to ask before checking in, and that’s on me. Most hotels don’t use them anymore.
