I arrived around 12:30 pm on my reservation day and asked the woman at the desk about checking in early. She said I could for $30. When I mentioned I was a good member, she replied, “I know that.” I’d just come from a Microtel in another city, where they offered early check-in and late departure because I was a Gold member. After we wandered around for two hours and came back, the manager said my room wasn’t ready, so I couldn’t check in early. I said that wasn’t what I’d been told, and he said she didn’t know. I felt like she had gone out of her way to be nasty. A room not being ready would have been a perfectly reasonable explanation, and I wouldn’t have thought anything of it.

Stayed 10 days and had a good visit. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, the room was clean and quiet, and there were lots of food choices nearby. No traffic noise either.

We keep coming back because the people are wonderful and so accommodating. The rooms are clean, breakfast is very good, and it’s started to feel like our home away from home.

My husband and I were there for our anniversary, and the desk staff had a happy anniversary card waiting for us when we arrived. That was a nice touch. The room was clean, laid out well, and comfortable. It had a whirlpool that was clean and working; I brought my own bleach cleaner as a precaution and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was available, though I arrived too late to see the full spread. The price and cleanliness are hard to beat, and I’d recommend the place. I’d give it four stars, but the indoor pool was ice cold, with no heat in that area.

Please don’t stay there. They have bed bugs, and my granddaughter woke up covered in bites. I took her to the hospital, but the on-site manager didn’t want to refund me or give me an incident report. There’s no TV service either, and they don’t tell you that when you book. The location is good, but the hotel is bad. While I was at the hospital, they sprayed Raid all over the third floor. Definitely avoid room 319.
