Hampton Inn Orange

After a long drive, it was nice to be greeted by welcoming staff. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the area was quiet and quaint. It was easy to find and simple to drive to. A pleasant stay at Hampton Inn.

We stayed two nights after a storm knocked out the power at home, and we were comfortable the whole time. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the front desk staff were kind. Even my picky daughter was excited about the s’mores waffle batter. We’d definitely stay again.

The service was excellent, and the staff went out of their way to help us even after we’d checked out. Our room was really clean, and surprisingly quiet despite being right beside the interstate.

There’s a microwave, fridge, TV, carpeted floor, and a standard Hampton Inn breakfast setup. The mattress was comfortable and on the firmer side, but the pillows were a mix of fluffy and flat. The blackout curtain worked reasonably well. The property was very clean and quiet, though maybe occupancy was low during our visit. There’s just one elevator, which is unusual in my experience. The shower was large, with a decent head and several flow settings, but the water flow could be stronger. It took a long time to soap up and rinse off, and the two soap shelves were very small. Larger shelves would help, especially for shaving in the shower. The conditioner was empty, and the ice bucket was broken; I reported both. There were garbage bags in the trash cans, a nice hygienic touch. The room’s age is showing too, with no power outlets on one side of the bed or on the wall beside it. I still like carpeted floors, though.
