Staying at Holliday House Inn was the most unforgettable part of our trip to V A. We were four people, taking our friends from Taiwan to experience American culture, and Virginia was our first choice. We'd heard about this legendary house in town and were drawn to its history. The house is a hundred years old, yet it was clean and spacious, with very modern shower facilities. The rooms are decorated in the style of the period, and the owner clearly cares about its history. Being there felt like going back a century. It's downtown, within walking distance of the main commercial buildings, restaurants, art galleries, and government offices. Out back, a magnolia tree that's over a hundred years old was in bloom. Having tea and snacks beneath it was really pleasant.

Pat was very accommodating to our needs during our stay for my nephew's wedding. The place is lovely and right in town, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. I'd stay there again if I visit Orange, VA.

Pat and Monica were wonderful and went above and beyond. I'd left something in the room, and a couple of days later Pat hand delivered it to me while he was in DC. The room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortably furnished, a relaxing place to return to after a long drive. The common area has period furniture and a cozy feel from another era. The place is simply beautiful. If you're anywhere near the area, stay here.

The real highlights were Pat and Monica, whose thoughtfulness and hospitality made our day. Pat also gave us great ideas for exploring Orange before we left. My mom and I had a fabulous time at the Holladay House Inn's "Low" tea. We loved the cozy table Pat set for us and the inn's atmosphere, and learning about its history made the visit even more enjoyable. The food was great, especially the cranberry muffin green tea. They get their desserts from a bakery in Charlottesville. A cozy, indulgent outing, definitely a 10/10.

Tea time with friends at the Holladay House was such a treat. The food and tea selection were wonderful, and the service felt friendly and warm. The space is gorgeous, and I got a look inside one of the unoccupied guest rooms. It was beautiful enough to make me want to find a reason to stay in Orange, even though I live nearby. The historic building has modern conveniences and luxuries while keeping its character and charm. I hope to come back!
