After a 20-hour drive, my mom and I were trying to settle in for the night before our four-day family visit. Then we felt bugs crawling in our beds, and a roach dropped onto my mom’s bed. We pulled back the sheets and saw them going into the corners. We weren’t going to sleep there. The door was so awkward that an associate had to show us how to jimmy it open after the key card and pushing wouldn’t work. The room smelled, and the sheets and walls needed repair. There were moldy showers and missing electrical outlets too. I didn’t expect a resort at this price, and wasn’t too bothered by the uninterested staff, but this place needs to be torn down. Not worth it at all.

I travel constantly and I’m not fussy, but this place really shouldn’t be in business. They assigned me rooms twice that already had people in them. Think about a stranger having a key to your room while your things are inside, or your wife sleeping there alone. Does that feel safe? There are hookers all over the place, and the staff are obviously booking rooms under the table. I know the rate is cheap, but stay away. This place is HORRIBLE.

We’re on a limited income, so my boyfriend and I just wanted a private room for a little while. I live with my parents, and he has three roommates. The stairwell smelled like urine, and all the outside air conditioners looked busted or broken and in need of repair. We tried to overlook a few things because privacy was all we needed, but the room was filthy. The sheets had holes, and roaches were crawling on the bed. We left right away, but the man at the counter wouldn’t refund us. Honestly, we’re just glad to have no privacy and a clean bed to sleep in now. So gross.

During the holiday break, I got stuck staying at America's Best Inns and Suits in Altamonte Springs, FL. Water was leaking through the ceiling, including rain coming under the roof, and there was mold in the shower. The bathroom wall had a hole where the door had been opened too hard. There was no iron, and we had only one set of towels. When I called the front desk, NOBODY ANSWERED!!!! There was no working printer either, and we almost missed our flight. The ice machine wasn’t working on my floor or the 3rd floor, so we had to go to the 1st floor, to a poorly lit corner. I respectfully asked for all my money back. This place needs major repairs and upgrades. By today’s standards, it’s uninhabitable.

We called Expedia to try to cancel our two-night reservation. After negotiating, we agreed to stay one night. Then at midnight, two big guys broke into our room and told us to leave immediately. They accused us of lying to Expedia about finding roaches. One was so rude he pointed a finger at my nose, and my young children were terrified. I called 911 and the police came. This hotel is horrible.
