Courtyard Stockton

Tom is a big part of why I keep coming back. He’s professional, helpful, and takes real pride in his work, and seeing him always makes the stay feel familiar. I’ve been choosing the Courtyard by Marriott Stockton for family visits for nearly 20 years. The hotel has been renovated several times and looks better than ever now, with modern, well-equipped rooms that are reliably clean and comfortable. It’s still my go-to place in the area, and I’m already looking forward to future stays.

Tom even tracked down our DoorDash dinner after it was delivered to the wrong place and brought it up to our room. The whole staff was smiling, kind, and helpful from check-in through checkout. The room was decent for the price, and we really enjoyed the breakfast burrito.

First time at the Courtyard in Stockton, and it was a good stay. The room was quiet, and the TV was bigger than the ones in other Courtyard rooms I’ve had lately. There was plenty of room to work at the large desk, with easy-to-reach outlets nearby. Just keep in mind that the two desk outlets are arranged horizontally, so my laptop adapter covered the second one. I found other accessible outlets around the room, so it wasn’t a problem unless you need several plugs right at the desk.

The location is a strong point, close to the freeway but in a peaceful area with beautiful homes and food easy to get to. When we visited, construction made the property chaotic, though the crew was gone after 4. The hotel definitely needs the facelift. Our slightly upgraded room still needed some paint, and its deadbolt was loose. There were no trash bags in the bins, and a body mirror would have been useful. The coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator were tucked away, so I had to look around for them. Staff were somewhat friendly, but there was a communication gap, and they could use more training on the Marriott loyalty program.
