The hotel itself was fine, and there were no bed bugs despite what other reviews said. Still, we won't use My Place again. The Comfort Inns and Best Westerns on this same trip were newer and cleaner, and check-in was much easier. We got there around 2:30pm for one night before the last stretch of a road trip. The front desk said the system showed no rooms ready and asked us to wait 30 minutes. It seemed odd at a nearly empty hotel so close to check-in time, but we did. We had an infant, a toddler, an elderly parent, and a dog with us. When we came back at 3pm, the room still wasn't ready. The woman at the desk seemed genuinely frustrated and was trying to sort it out, which I appreciated. Then Josh came over. He wasn't the manager, just the person in charge that day. After looking around, he told us to wait another 35-40 minutes. I said we were already past check-in, had our hands full, and would take any room, even a single queen. We just needed somewhere to stay. Josh said it wasn't his department, housekeeping wasn't his problem, and threatened to cancel the reservation if we wouldn't wait. Hotel business should be simple: take a booking and hand over keys at the agreed time. When something goes wrong, finding a solution is the job. After a lot of back-and-forth, he clicked a few buttons and gave us a room. I still don't know why there had to be all that drama or power tripping.

I come here every year for a corporate event. The place is clean, the service is good, and the staff are friendly. Around 4am, the guest above me dropped everything they owned on the floor at least twice. Obviously that's not the hotel's fault.

The rooms were really clean and the bed was comfortable. My black light didn't pick anything up, so they must do a thorough job. The general manager was super friendly, and the location is great, right by Texas Roadhouse. Very affordable too.

The staff were nice and accommodating, and nothing else about my stay was bad. I don't mind the smell of weed, but if you do, this may not be the place for you. My issue is the rewards. I stayed for two months and spent a lot, but they discounted the rate because of the long stay, then said I wasn't eligible for hotel points. A discounted room shouldn't mean zero rewards. Points should reflect what you paid, and a discount shouldn't disqualify you from earning any. Wyndham chains honor points whether or not a room is discounted and welcome the business, so I'll go there for extended stays instead. One star because they wouldn't honor the points.

The floors are wooden, so every footstep carries. Someone above us walked around all night, and at 6am a group started talking so loudly we could hear every word. There was an unbelievable amount of noise from other rooms and people moving about. If you want a peaceful night's sleep, stay somewhere else, even if you have to pay more.
