That huge fire pit is a bonus, and the place is clean and very pet friendly. I come back several times a year, including every August with lots of friends for the car show across at the fairgrounds. The women who run the inn are kind, generous, and fun to talk with, and they offer more than any other hotel I’ve stayed at. Hands down the best hotel in Maggie. I love it so much I wish I could give it more stars.

We’re planning to stay again in March. The location puts you right in Maggie Valley and just a short drive from Waynesville. Our rooms were clean and looked recently updated, with cable TV, a small fridge, microwave, heater, and small AC unit. The tankless water heater was the one thing I didn’t like, since hot water took a long time. My MiL had a larger room with a small kitchen and table, stocked with basic cookware and dishes.

We travel with our little Chihuahua, and this room had space for her bed along with two double beds, a loveseat, dining table, and a nice kitchenette. Management was really helpful, even calling before we arrived. It met and exceeded what we expected.

We brought our dog to Maggie Valley for hiking, and the owners of Cardinal inn were warm and welcoming to pets. After coming down from the mountain, the comfortable beds were especially appreciated. The room was spotless and had two double queens and a kitchenette.

Motorcycle trouble kept me here for 3 days, and these ladies were great, even offering me rides. The hotel is clean and they do way more than upscale hotels ever do. The fire pit nights were so cool, and I met some new friends, including one with a huge bag chair. The views are the best. I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Maggie Valley, but this is where I’ll stay from now on. They have cool 🐈 too. Thanks again, ladies, for the greatest place and hospitality. It’s out freakingstanding 😆
