Castlewood Inn

Frankie, the property host and guest service manager, was friendly, kind, and accommodating, and made me feel at home. My room had been remodeled with modern decor that still felt cozy, and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. I have nothing negative to say about my stay. I’ll book here again and recommend it to anyone wanting an affordable, clean, comfortable place.

We booked because of the price and found clean rooms that were updated and well appointed. The bathroom looked brand new, and the beds were better than average, though the room felt tight for four people. The water tasted good and there was plenty of hot water. It’s on the main drag in Maggie Valley, close to everything.

We got snowed in for 3 days, and the cabin felt like a home away from home. Its kitchen had lovely dishes, pots, pans, and everything we needed to cook, so we made several delicious meals while watching the snow fall. The fireplace cabinet made the living room extra cozy for movies on the couch or morning coffee. There’s lots of natural light and relaxed decor. The master bedroom’s king bed was extremely comfortable and had its own bathroom entrance. The kids enjoyed the comfortable bunk bed in the second bedroom, plus the gaming system in the living room and a little movie-watching space of their own. It’s right by the road, but the noise was about what you’d get in a hotel room, and restaurants and coffee shops are walkable. Castlewood manages this cute, clean, well-equipped cabin, and the staff were genuinely lovely. We’ll definitely return.

Maggie Valley can feel overly commercial, so I was pleasantly surprised by how charming this place was. The front office staff were friendly and helpful with food suggestions. We tried one of their favorites, Pop's, and it was awesome. My room had recently been updated, with a great shower and really fun decor. The potted plants made it feel homey. Check-in and checkout were smooth, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the staff were great.
