The beds felt hard, and the road is so close to the room that traffic kept distracting me through the night. I was the only guest there, which made it feel even more noticeable. The cable selection was good, though, and the place was okay. For a meal, you'll need to drive to Waynesville.

The room was old and nowhere near worth $140 for one night. I booked a smoking room by mistake on Booking.com, then asked the owner if I could switch to nonsmoking. They agreed, but charged me $40 extra. I was okay with that until I saw my in-laws' room, number 2, which was the same as our room, number 14: both had a king bed and were nonsmoking. Their rate was $99. When I asked why mine cost $140, the wife was very rude and said she shouldn't have let us switch rooms just because I questioned the difference, even though we'd paid for the change. The customer service was horrible. I do not recommend this place.

We planned on two nights and stayed for a whole week. It's a lovely little family-run motel, the rooms were clean, and they were very biker friendly. The road gets quiet after about 9 pm, and the rocking chairs outside the rooms were a nice touch. They also left out a clean rag each night so we could wipe down our bike in the morning. Great location. We'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful, quiet stay, and the king bed was very good.
