Jonathan Creek Inn and Villas

After a three-day motorcycle trip through NC for our anniversary, my husband and I stayed here and would definitely return. The staff and room were great, and parking was easy. We had a hot tub room, which felt nice after the long trip. The bed was very comfy, and we just called Joeys Pancake House for breakfast and walked across the road to pick it up. The floors were very slick even after we dried them with the towels, so a more absorbent towel or mat for the hot tub and shower would help. It’s definitely outdated compared to chain hotels, but I think that’s part of its charm.

We didn’t get the room we originally booked, but that was on us because we arrived early. The people who work here are extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful. This was our second visit, and we loved it even more with the kids. It felt super safe, and as a mom I absolutely loved that the playground was inside a closed-in gate. The creekside is easy to access for everyone, and there are washers, dryers, and ice. We haven’t used the pool, but it looks like lots of fun. It’s conveniently next to two restaurants too. If you get a chance, check out the little koi pond outside the front office :)

It may take a little while after check-in to see why this place is so highly rated, but the lovely outdoor area behind the rooms makes it click. The screened-in back porch is nice for All seasons. The lady working at check-in was very friendly and helpful when we needed something. Though it’s an older place, the rooms have very comfortable beds and high quality amenities. We’d definitely stay again.

The porch room by the creek was a great choice, with walls that give you total privacy from your neighbor. I highly suggest you pony up for that option, especially for the wonderful creek sound and lovely outdoor setup. Inside, I’d rate the mattress a nine, and the bathroom gets a nine too. I loved the handheld shower, and the toilet and shower are in a separate room from the sink and vanity, which works really well for a couple. One person can shower while the other shaves or does makeup. You can walk straight across the street to Joey’s, one of the best breakfast places you’ll ever eat at. No pets.
